Another feature which makes marble and tile quite apart is stains, marbles are porous so they get stained easily by acids, like lemon juice or citric acid. This is the reason why budget interiors advise its clients not to install marble on the kitchen counter. Tiles on the other hand are baked in furnaces and are less porous, so they don’t get stained very easily.
Finish
The tile industry has reached such a point that practically there has remained no difference in finish, in the market, you can get exact look-alike tiles of marbles, and even look of rare marble is available in tiles at a much cheaper price. So, if you want a different look you can go for tiles without any doubt but, tiles are not as durable as marbles.
